I am back/ almost random thoughts

I am very happy to announce that Lola's scrapbook is back :-)

I wrote in Italian somewhere else for a while than I got fed up with that blog. I can't tell why. Well, I know why.
1. I don't like writing in Italian as it makes me fell more "vulnerable" and even a bit "fake". I like writing my private stuff in English;
2. I don't like being read by some people that "surveil" me through the blog. They don't want to do it but I perceive it like a monitoring and I hate it. I know (?) Lola's scrapbook readers and I really like them so I'd better stick with my blog and my lovely readers.
3. Every time I'm up for a change, 5 minutes later I miss this little virtual space.
...

So, I am back.

It's been REALLY hectic lately and it's going to be like this until the summer break. However, I'm involved in things that I like so it's ok to be busy.

Orlando turns 1 this week and we're super thrilled about it. Unluckily, I'll be on biz trip for a couple of days AND I'll leave on his birthday which is a real shame. On the bright side, S. has planned a  dog party with Orlando's mum and his brothers & sisters in June. We're going to celebrate all together and it's going to be a huge mess (8 Irish Setters, OMG). 3 weeks ago we met Fenice (Orlando's mum) and 2 sisters. You should have seen Orlando: he was all over the place and had a blast with them. He is very social and likes a lot dogs.

Yesterday we saw La grande bellezza by Paolo Sorrentino. It's a great movie, don't miss it! One of the best movie I've ever seen.

Should get going now, buona domenica...
it's sooo good to be back

I am back #2

I've just realized that I need to plan carefully all the things that need to be done in the following months otherwise I'll end up being overwhelmed pretty soon.

It's getting difficult to work at home as Orlando needs lots of attention & exercise. This morning, after  a 30-minute run in the garden, he slept for like an hour and then he was ready for another "running session". However, he can't stay in the garden alone. Even if he has improved, he still chews and swallows things he shouldn't eat so someone has to stay outside with him which is not ideal. He has high level of energies which is both good and bad. It is good because he is funny and extremely vital, it's bad because I mainly work at home and I obviously need to focus. Sometimes I just can't as it's like having a hyperactive child who runs around and wants to play all the time. Luckily, we can rely on my mum and  my uncle but sometimes I wonder what we would do if they fell seriously ill.

On a more positive note, I'm looking forward to a couple of trips: one to Brussels and the second to Prague. In Brussels I'll reconnect with friends I haven't seen for a long time and Prague is a wonderful city so I'm thrilled to go with G.
To be honest, I do have bad memories of Brussels but I'll be pretty busy so they won't haunting me. I hope I won't bump into someone I am not keen to meet who lives in Brussels though. If I bump into this person, I promise I'll share the whole story here.

I am also organizing an important event in Milan. It's for my job and I'm charge of it... I'm nervous about it but I'm sure things will work out ok. The event is scheduled for April and everything has to be almost "perfect"... I have my fingers crossed.

Quite a while

I've just realized that I haven't updated the blog for a while... things have been hectic here and I'm about to leave in a few days (Barcelona). I hope I'll have the time to write from there. If this is not going to be case, I'll catch up with you as soon as I'm back.

Blog Prolific and Other Short Random/Stupid Thoughts

* Too bad I delated all my old posts. I want them back!

* There are far too many titles in my kindle but I keep adding books. I haven't read this one yet and I haven't finished 1Q84. The latter is too long and complex, I need time & relax (read = not now!).

* Do you know Filippa Lagerback? I really like her style. Moreover, the template of her blog is the coolest ever.

* Sometimes my contradictions are overwhelming but now that I'm getting familiar with them, life it's better.

This is not a blog

Actually, this is a project. The aim is writing a post (it does't need to be long) and/or upload a picture or even cut & paste a quote, every single day. Otherwise - I know my self very well- this scrapbook will last for, say, 6 months.

I am not a newbie. I've had many blogs. However, after a while either I was too busy to write or I was bored with my own writing which I am aware it's a kind of weird. So I'm not promising that I won't let you down because I probably will. Perhaps I won't stick to the idea of writing every day. Maybe I'll close this blog the next week.

In any case, the initial aim sounds good ;)

ps. I'm still on working on the template.
